Philippines is banned from joining beauty pageants for the next two years ?

Meagan Young – Ms. Universe 2013

I saw a blog post disqualifying  Philippines from joining beauty pageants for the next two years due to enormous advantage by Filipina candidates in practically all pageants this year. This according to the the Association of Beauty Pageant Franchise Holders (ABPFH) . In 2010, 2011 and 2012, the Philippines candidates ( Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon ) were all in the top 5 in the Miss Universe competition.

This years winners are :

Miss SupraNational Pageant – Ms. Mutya Datul
Miss World -Ms. Megan Young
Miss Universe (4th place) -Ms. Ariella Arida
Miss Grand International -Ms. Ali Forbes

ABPFH said that it is time for the Philippines to give other countries the chance to win international beauty competitions, adding that “the world already knows how beautiful and talented Filipinas are”.

( I have yet to search the authenticity of this  report as some commented on the original source that  this news is not true)

when I saw this in FB, my first thought was”B.S”. But certainly there was athat 1% question in my mind? Therefore I did further research, and sure enough, it is not true. Just think about it, for decades, the Philippines has always been in some sort of beauty competition. And now they are not for two years? Common now…if their reason is, Philippines must give other countries chance to win a contest? then they might as well Bann the United States. Reason being that In every beauty Compition USA had always been in the five finalist. That is a fact. Thank you Latin News for your input in this matter.
