At 76 my mom can play almost all musical instruments

October 9th, 2012

My mother-in-law is a music teacher . I learned from her that everyone is musical and nearly all of us have the ability to sing and to play an instrument. When I asked her why some of us have more aptitude than others, she explained that it is natural , at the same way that some people are more gifted than others in arts, sport, or maths, or any other area of learning.

She told me that it is never too late to learn musical instruments . My mom can play almost all musical instruments such as Piano, Violin, Flute, Guitar , Harmonica and Clarinet. She has a collection of ethnic and modern instruments at home. She has this vandoren clarinet reeds and ¾ Violin she got from USA during her vacation 5 years ago. She has also a set of Bamboo piano from Bandung , Indonesia and a harmonica from Cuba.

As for me, I can only play guitar. How about you?
