Miracle Drugs are Scary

June 28th, 2011
Have you heard of an anti-depressant drug called paxil? It landed on the market in the early 90’s and it took the psychiatric world by storm. Doctors quickly began treating their patients suffering from depression with this new miracle drug. Of course it worked and became famous….but there was a problem and like any other “miracle drugs,” the problems didn’t come out until many, many years later.

Now their are lots of Paxil Lawsuit in court due to the many side effects like birth defects, restlessness, irritability, headaches, dry mouth, gastric upset, or impotency and many more. The drug is scary… so better spread the news to your friends and relatives.

Biomedical engineering schools have made great strides lately, and have done much good. However, we must have our eyes wide open, listen closely to your clinical assistant, and do a lot of research on our own. Then we can be at peace with whatever path we choose to take.
