Having Difficulty Sleeping?

September 15th, 2010

Difficulty in falling asleep, Difficulty in staying asleep, waking up too early in the morning, not feeling refreshed after a night’s sleep…these are just some of the symptoms of insomnia. It is true that as we get older we often experience these abnormalities in our sleep pattern. Some even have to take sleeping pills just to get those extra hours of precious slumber.

My friend confided to me one day that she had a bout with insomnia . Her doctor told her that of the three types of insomnia, (Transient or mild insomnia, Short term of moderate insomnia, Chronic or severe insomnia), she’s now experiencing the moderate one. My friend would have difficulty in sleeping for a week or two that result to fatigue with feelings of irritability. I pitied her and encouraged her to undergo insomnia treatment to solve her problem once and for all.
