Door Closed

July 20th, 2010

What a lesson learned. Yap, pride cost us almost P 7,000.00 for our plane ticket instead of the P 140.00 round trip promo we availed from an airline company. We were getting late going to the airport and we hurriedly flogged a taxi. Instead of offering us the regular fare to our destination, the driver told us to pay thrice the amount we were supposed to pay. We reacted with dismay and opted to ride a passenger jeepney instead. Upon arriving at the airport and checking our baggage, the airline desk staff told the bad news that we were very late and that all the passengers have boarded the plane. We pleaded for a chance but the aircraft captain refused our passage since the doors were already closed and the plane’s ready for take off. And the next flight will be at 2 o’clock in the afternoon! If not of the covert security cameras at the airport, I will rush to the tarmac and beg for the doors to be opened! Lol.

We’ll thank God we still have the chance to buy a ticket from another airline at a price that almost shocked us…LOL! But all things work together for good! We chose to be optimistic about this trip. We have three more days to enjoy our Boracay escapade and that’s what we are going to do. Thank You Lord for this birthday gift for my wife.
