ABC Wednesday

April 20th, 2010
This is my first time to join ABC WEDNESDAY. I hope it’s not yet too late.
Here’s my LETTER N.

N – NO ELECTRIC POWER

Due to the Electric Power Shortage in Mindanao,Philippines
supply is limited… so we have a routinary schedule of brown outs.
Instead of fretting over it.. hubby and my little girl enjoyed the night.

Oh yes – when you can do nothing about it you might as well enjoy it 🙂

We had scheduled power cuts back in the seventies when there were coal miners' strikes going on. I remember being at work and having to use candles and torches! Here's a link to the story, if you're interested – http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/february/16/newsid_2757000/2757099.stm

A good attitude is definitely useful to get through the 'brown' times! LOL!

A friend that lives in the countryside used to have a lot of power cuts in the winter so candles were always on hand. Fun photo.
